CERAM-SPAN™ is manufactured using a ¼” thick glass substrate. Maximum size is 84” x 140”; minimum size: 12” x 12”; tolerances: ± 1/16”. If a thinner glass substrate is required contact the factory. Depending upon size and use, ceramic enamel frit paint can be applied to a thicker glass substrate for interior use only. Requirements must be submitted for review. This product complies with ASTM Specification C 1048-04, (excluding fallout resistance, unless specified), C 1036-01 and the Glass Association of North America Specifications for Ceramic Enameled Spandrel Glass.

Edgework - CERAM-SPAN™ spandrel is furnished with a minimum of seamed edges for which no charge is made. Requirements for a finished edge may be submitted for review, and if accepted, will be furnished for an additional cost. Mitered edges on spandrel are not available.

Reflective Spandrel - CERAM-SPAN™ can be manufactured using pyrolytically coated reflective glass. The standard application is for the ceramic enamel frit to be applied to the non-reflective surface. In this fashion the reflective surface will be outward-facing, thus maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the glass. If other accommodations are desired please submit requirements for review.

Special Fabrication - As CERAM-SPAN™ is either heat-strengthened or fully tempered, no fabrication may be effected after heat treating. All fabrication requirements must be performed prior to heat treating and shall be subject to factory approval.
