Unsurpassed Durability - Ceramic enamel frit is the most durable spandrel coating available for glass panels. Ceramic frit is combined with inorganic pigment to achieve any one of an innumerable quantity of desired colors which is then applied to the glass surface. In order to resist thermal stresses to which spandrel panels are subjected the glass is either heat-strengthened or fully tempered, depending upon its final use, in an oscillating roller-hearth furnace. In this process the glass is uniformly heated to a temperature in excess of 1150° F during which time the ceramic enamel frit paint becomes fused to the glass surface creating a near-opaque panel that will not discolor, peel, chip, or delaminate. CERAM-SPAN™ spandrel, when properly glazed, will achieve the perfect exterior building façade, and even in some cases, interior wall surfaces.

CERAM-SPAN™ spandrel is readily available in 12 standard colors listed below.
